It will be seen from the following table that in the decennium 1895-1904 the London scarlet fever
death-rate was lower than the death-rates of all the undermentioned English towns, except Bristol,
and West Ham, and in 1905 was «xceoded by the death-rates of Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Bradford,
Salford and Leicester:—

exceeded by the death-rates of St. Petersburg, Berlin, Vienna and New York, and in 1905 was
exceeded by the death rates of Stockholm, St. Petersburg and Berlin:—
