Water
The water supply in the borough is provided by the Metropolitan Water
Board as the statutory authority for London and has been satisfactory in quality
and quantity.
In addition, certain wells situated outside the borough are a source of
supply to various points on the railway system centred on Euston Station. There
are also five wells in use in the borough, four being on factory premises and
one at the Council's swimming baths at Prince of Wales Road.
Four samples of water were taken during the year and submitted for chemical
and bacteriological examination. All proved satisfactory.
