Water.
The bulk of the water in the borough is supplied by the Metropolitan Water Board
and has been satisfactory in quality and quantity.
In addition, wells situated outside the borough are a source of supply to various points
on the railway system centred on Euston Station. There are also five wells in the borough,
four being on factory premises and one at the Council's swimming baths at Prince of Wales
Road, and from these a total of seven samples were taken during the year and subjected to
chemical and bacteriological examination by the Public Analyst.
Examinations were also made of samples of water taken from Parliament Hill Lido,
Ken Wood open air ponds, the Council's swimming baths and a private swimming bath.
