TETANUS.
Although this is not a "Notifiable Disease," it is of interest to note that one case
occurred in the Borough. A boy, aged 9, developed symptoms which resembled those of
Cerebro Spinal Meningitis. He was sent into a Special Hospital at once, but died within a
few hours of admission. A Post Mortem examination proved the case to have been one of
Tetanus and the infection had followed an extraction for dental caries.
