During 1931 the Council's staff at the various Centres made 25,165 visits to 2,661
children, and 2,804 visits to 1,370 expectant mothers; the trained workers not paid by the
Council made 8,837 visits to 602 children, and 502 visits to 275 expectant mothers.
The visiting work is set out in detail on the next page, and is summarised in the following statement: —
