SMALL-POX.
Three cases of this disease were notified in the Borough during the year, and one case
residing in another Borough was discovered while attending a hospital in St. Pancras. Two of
the notified cases occurred in one house. The source of the infection of the first case could
not be traced. There were a large number of contacts, and of these three, all of whom had
refused re-vaccination, developed the disease. A number of persons were reported from time
to time to have been in contact with cases of small-pox, and where possible, such persons
were vaccinated and kept under observation during the incubation period.
VACCINATION.
The following table is prepared from information kindly supplied by Mr. Chapman,
the Clerk to the Guardians, itr respect of children whose births were registered in the Parish
of St. Pancras from 1st January to 31st December, 1927.
