The remarkable value of artificial sunlight in this respect is proved by the transformation
already mentioned above among people upon whom many other methods of reformation
have been tried without success.
Secondly comes the devotion of the mothers. They have attended with regularity,
often at great sacrifice and inconvenience, and the undoubted success of the clinic is in very
large measure due to their willing co-operation—a sure sign of their belief in the efficacy of
the treatment—and a belief not easily brought into existence. These two outstanding facts
are full of unlimited possibilities and of hope for the future.
