time under the Act, and 815 of the houses received a second routine
inspection during those years. In 1915 there have been made 408 further first
inspections, and 951 houses have had a subsequent routine inspection.
Since 1st January, 1913, therefore, 3535 of the 25,000 houses in the
Borough have been inspected under the Act, and 1766 of these have
received subsequent routine inspections. It is not to be forgotten that
most of these inspections involved re-inspections after the service of
intimation notices.
