Chicken-pox was made notifiable in London from March 17th to June 10th
by an order of the London County Council. During this time 247 cases were
notified in St. Pancras.
No case of Typhus was notified in the Borough, though four cases (Stepney)
was reported in the County.
No case of Anthrax or Glanders occurring in man was notified in St.
Pancras, though 8 cases of the former and one of the latter were reported in
different parts of the County of London.
Cholera, Plague, and human Hydrophobia were completely absent both in
the Borough and in the County.
57 persons were reported during the year as having been in contact with
cases of sinall-pox (mostly on shipboard), and 30 as having been in contact
abroad with other dangerous infectious diseases. These were all kept under
observation, with negative results.
Two outbreaks of glanders in horses, and one of anthrax in sheep were
reported as occurring in the borough during 1915 by the Veterinary Inspector
of the London County Council. In each case the site was visited, and no
human cases occurred.

MEASLES.

In the following table are set out the deaths and death-rate from measles for the past ten years for the whole Borough and for the four registration sub-districts:—

Of the 63 deaths, 17 were in children under one year of age, and 55 in
children under five years of age.
