DEATHS.
During the year 1908, the corrected total number of deaths from all causes
at all ages was 3555, being 3 more than during the preceding year, and 652
below the annual average of the preceding ten years. Per 1000 of the
population the death-rate was 15.0 compared with 15.0 in the previous year,
and an annual average of 17.6 in the preceding decennium.
The total number of deaths and the death-rates in the Sub-Districts are set out below, 79 deaths from all causes not referable to any particular Sub-District, being distributed according to population:—
