Infant Mortality
There were 130 deaths of children under one year, giving an
infant-mortality rate of 21.60 per 1,000 live births. The infantmortality
rate for England and Wales was 18.3.
Table 3 shows causes of death of children under one year of age.

Maternal Mortality

or child-birth. This is equivalent to a rate of 0.65 per 1,000 live
and still births.
