REPORT ON THE WORK OF THE PUBLIC
ANALYST FOR 1966
The analysis of samples of food and drugs purchased formally
and informally under the Food and Drugs Act, 1955 is carried out
by the Public Analyst, D. G. Forbes, Esq., B.Sc., F.R.I.C., and
during the year 1,000 samples were submitted by the Council's
food inspectors. Sixty-three of these samples were taken with the
formalities required by the Act and 937 were taken informally.
The number of food samples was 936 and the remaining 64 were
drugs.
The samples submitted for analysis included the following
