Infant Mortality
There were 130 deaths of children under one year, giving an
infant-mortality rate of 20.47 per 1,000 live births. The infantmortality
rate for England and Wales was 19.0

Maternal Mortality
Two deaths occurred from accidents and diseases of pregnancy
or child-birth. This is equivalent to a rate of 0.3 per 1,000 live
and still births.
