Infantile Mortality
There were 126 deaths of children under one year, giving an
infant mortality rate of 19.6 per 1,000 live births. This compares
with a rate of 19.3 for 1962.
For the 10 years ended 1953 the average infant mortality rate
was 30, while for the 10-year period ending 1963 the average rate
was 20.
Table 111(b) shows causes of death of children under one year
of age.
