FOOD AND FOOD PREMISES
Two hundred and eighty samples were examined bacterio-logically at the Public Health Laboratory during the year. They were as follows:

Milk
Of the 216 samples of milk, 96 were submitted to the phosphatase
test, 96 to the methylene-blue test, and 24 to the turbidity test.
These samples were reported satisfactory.
Ice-cream
The 37 samples of ice-cream were tested in accordance with the
technique suggested by the Ministry of Health and Public Health
Laboratory Service. These samples were examined at the Public
Health Laboratory.

Imitation Cream
Seven samples were examined for the presence of pathogenic
organisms, and all were reported satisfactory.
Examination of Water from Artesian Wells
Six samples were submitted for examination, and were reported
satisfactory.
