The total number of addresses received from other Councils
was 388, and 84 addresses were forwarded to other Authorities.
The number of addresses received has decreased by 75, and the
number sent in has increased by four. 15 names and addresses were
forwarded to this Borough in error.
The number of notices sent to employers during the year was
28, and these had a most satisfactory result.
During the year 51 cases of infective diseases—24 of Measles,
one of German Measles, one of Pneumonia, four of Scarlet Fever,
four of Diphtheria, eight of Whooping Cough, seven of Chicken-pox,
one of Erysipelas and one of Mumps—were notified as having
occurred in the homes of out-workers. In none of these cases
was it necessary to make any order under Section 110 of the
Factory and Workshop Act.
