The percentage of illegitimate births to total births was 4 03.
The illegitimate births in nursing homes have again been
allocated to the home addresses of the mothers.
Notification of Births Act.
The following Table shows the number of births notified in
each sub-district and in the whole Borough, the persons by whom
notified, and the number born dead.

The percentage of births notified, less still-births, to those
registered was 88.
Deaths.
The number of deaths which took place in the Borough during
the 52 weeks ending 29th December, 1923 was 2,883, but 769 of
these did not belong to the Borough, while 1,294 Borough residents
died outside the Borough.
