Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
The number of deaths and the death-rate in each sub-district
was as follows:—Clapham 71 and 1.14; Putney 40 and 1.37;
Streatham 142 and 1.37; Tooting 37 and .98; and Wandsworth
103 and 1.06.
One of the deaths occurred at one and under two years, one at
two and under five years, two at five and under 15 years, three
at 15 and under 25 years, 46 at 25 and under 45 years, 170 at 45
and under 65 years, and 170 over 65 years.
The following Table shows the number of deaths according
to the part of the body affected.

In Institutions within the Borough 26 deaths occurred from
Cancer, seven males and 19 females. 11 of these deaths occurred
in the Hostel of God, one in the Tooting Home, three in Putney
Hospital, and 11 in private nursing homes.
