One of the cases notified in 1909, and three in 1910, became
Poor Law cases, and have been transferred to that Table.
The next Table shows the number of cases notified voluntarily
by medical practitioners in the Borough, corrected for transfers
to Hospitals or Poor Law Institutions.
During the year 42 cases of Phthisis were voluntarily notified,
six belonging to Clapham, none to Putney, eight to Streatham,
two to Tooting, and 26 to Wandsworth, compared with 75 in 1910,
74 in 1909, 85 in 1908, 49 in 1907, 74 in 1906, and 104 in 1905.
Eight of these have been transferred to the Hospitals in Table
LXV. as they had been notified before the 1st May.
Of the 42 cases notified, six were notified from the Brompton
Hospital, two from Westminster Hospital, and 34 were notified
by private practitioners.
16 of the cases died, one of these having been notified in 1908,
six in 1910, and nine in 1911.
