In 1902, 1903, 1904 and 1911 Chicken-pox was compulsorily
notifiable, and as a consequence the rates in these years are
increased, especially in 1902.
In Public Institutions within the Borough one case of
Diphtheria, ten cases of Erysipelas, two of Ophthalmia Neonatorum
and two of Chicken-pox were notified from the Workhouse; three
of Scarlet Fever and four of Diphtheria from the Intermediate
Schools; five cases of Erysipelas from the Middlesex County
Asylum; one of Scarlet Fever and one of Diphtheria from the
Fountain Hospital; 25 cases of Scarlet Fever, 34 of Diphtheria,
one of Erysipelas, one of Cerebro-spinal Meningitis and one of
Chicken-pox from the Grove Hospital; four cases of Enteric
Fever and one of Erysipelas from H.M. Prison; and one of
Chicken-pox from the Tooting Bec Asylum.

infectious disease received from Institutions outside the Borough.
