Notification of Consumption under the Local Government
Board's Order of December, 1908.
219 cases of Consumption were notified during the year, 33 of
these belonging to Clapham, 12 to Putney, 39 to Streatham, 39 to
Tooting, and 96 to Wandsworth, compared with 317 cases in the
previous year.
The following Table shows the number of these cases received,
and also the number of times the cases were notified :—

It will be noted that 122 cases were notified once; 84 of these
were on Form A by the Medical Officers of Poor Law Institutions
and 38 on Form B by the District Medical Officers.
73 cases were notified twice. 51 of these were by District
Medical Officers and the Medical Superintendent of the Union
Infirmary, eight by the Medical Superintendent of the Infirmary
and the Medical Officer of the Tooting Home, five by the Medical
Officer of the Workhouse and the Medical Superintendent of the
