Ages at Death.
The following Table shows the percentage of deaths to total
deaths at six age periods for each sub-district and for the whole
Borough.

TABLE XIX.

Compared with 1909 the percentage of deaths under one year
was .48 higher; from one to five years 2.11 lower, due to the
decrease in the number of deaths from Measles and diseases of
the Respiratory Organs; from five to 15 years .01 lower; from
15 to 25 years .36 higher; from 25 to 65 years. 1.03 higher; and
from 65 years and upwards '24 higher.
There was a considerable diversity in these rates in the
different sub-districts.
In Streatham the rate under one year was only 13.93, while
in Tooting it was 26.90, while over 65 years of age Tooting had
a rate of 23.10 and Streatham of 34.95.
Again, as was noted also in 1909, at from one to five years
the rate was still high in Tooting and low in Streatham, and also
at ages five to 15, while at ages 15 to 25, 25 to 65, and over 65
the Tooting rates were much lower and were the lowest of the
five sub-districts.
