* Extensive works have been carried out during the past year by the Wandsworth
Borough Council in conjunction with the Central (Unemployed)
Body for London, upon which a maximum number of 206 men were
employed for 350 days. The Council also itself executed a quantit of
channelling and other work during the winter, in order to give work to
the unemployed.
