Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
The next Table shows in detail the work of the Inspectors in
factories and workshops where males are chiefly employed.
The Table shows the work done in each sub-district and is
grouped under five divisions: (i) factories, (2) workshops, (3)
domestic workshops, (4) workplaces, and (5) outworkers' premises.
The total number of inspections was 2,408, compared with
1,964 in 1906, and 2,023 in 1905 and re-inspections 1,298, compared
with 1,649 and 1,222.
864 of the inspections and 130 of the re-inspections were in
Clapham, 271 and 558 in Putney, 510 and 183 in Streatham, 146
and 64 in Tooting, and 617 and 363 in Wandsworth.
Seven workshops where males were employed were notified
to H.M. Inspector, and 28 were reported to this Council by H.M.
Inspector. All of these were already on the Workshop Register
and had been inspected.
