Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
29 of the Inquests were held on persons not belonging to the
Borough who died in the Borough. Nine of these were on persons
who died in the Prison, three in the Tooting Bee Asylum,
two in the Middlesex Asylum, two in St. Anne's Home, two in the
River Thames, one in the Grove Fever Hospital, one in the
Priory, and nine in other places and on the street.
56 of the Inquests were held on persons belonging to the
Borough who died outside the Borough, 17 in Clapham, three in
Putney, 13 in Streatham, seven in Tooting, and 16 in Wandsworth,
and the following Table shows the causes of death. 23 of
these deaths were from Natural, 28 from Accidental and three
from Suicidal Causes, and in two open verdicts were returned.
