No cases of Small-pox were notified during the year, none in
1906, and only one, which proved not to be Small-pox, in 1905,
compared with six in 1904, 28 in 1903, and 127 in 1902.
1,330 cases of Scarlet Fever were notified, compared with
1,069 in 1906, and 1,494 in 1905; of Diphtheria 629, compared
with 566 and 348; of Enteric Fever 70, compared with 96 and 96;
of Puerperal Fever 25, compared with 25 and 18; and of
Erysipelas 213, compared with 273 and 253.
Compared with 1906 there has been an increase in the number
of cases of Scarlet Fever and Diphtheria, and a decrease of
Erysipelas and Enteric Fever, while Puerperal Fever.is the same.
Cerebro-spinal Meningitis was not notifiable in 1906, but only
three cases were notified in 1907.
