ZYMOTIC DISEASES.
The next Table shows the number of deaths from these diseases
during the year and for the ten previous years. This Table is
corrected for institutions, as a large number of deaths registered in
the Borough occurred in the Fountain and Grove Fever Hospitals, and
belong to other Metropolitan Boroughs. The number above or below
the corrected decennial average is also shown.

The total number of deaths from these diseases was 451, 87
in Clapham, 48 in Putney, 97 in Streatham, 65 in Tooting, and 154 in
Wandsworth, a decrease of 60 compared with the year 1904, and
183.4 compared with the corrected decennial average.
Compared with 1904 there has been an increase in the number
of deaths from Scarlet Fever, Puerperal Fever, Erysipelas, Whooping
Cough and other zymotic diseases, and a decrease from Diphtheria,
Measles, Influenza and Diarrhœa. The number of deaths from
Enteric Fever was the same in 1904 and 1905.
