occasion did I find the illuminating power below the average. For
1904 the average illuminating power was 15.9 candles and for 1905
15.8 candles: No sulphuretted hydrogen was found and the pressure
was seldom less than that of a column of water of 3.5 inches in height.

greatly increased supply of gas by this Company and the modern
conditions of testing, it would be preferable to examine the gas in a
centrally-situated gas testing place outside the Works and should the
opportunity arise I trust something may be done in this direction.
