A new fire-place has been constructed in the new office for
the Rating Department, at the rear of the building, by Messrs.
W. & C. Brown, Earlsfield, at a cost of £17 17s. 6d.
The whole of the footpaths are being kerbed and paved
by the employees of the Council by arrangement
with the London County Council in connection with
the new tramways from Wandsworth to Tooting,
One-third of the cost of the work is being borne by
the Council and two-thirds by the London County Council. The
total cost of the work to March 31st, 1906, was £15,635 11s. 4d.
This does not include the cost of the wood paving between the
tramway margins and the kerb which is being carried out by the
London County Council's Contractors.
York Road.
In connection with the electrification of the tramways the
Council has undertaken to acquire certain foreYoik
Road. courts on both sides of the road between North
Street and Borough Boundaries for the purpose of widening the
road. The whole of the paving works, both carriageway and
footway, are being carried out by the London County Council's
Contractors.
Ulva Road.
The kerb has been taken up and re-laid and Scoriae block
channelling laid on cement concrete on both sides
of the road at a cost ₤5 3s. od.
