VOLUNTARY NOTIFICATION OF CONSUMPTION.
In January, 1903, the following report was presented to the
Council, and it was decided that such notification should be
adopted.
At the Meeting of the Conference on Tuberculosis in
July, 1901, the following resolution, among others, was passed : —
"That the Voluntary Notification of cases of Phthisis
"attended with tubercular expectoration, and the
"increased preventive action which it has rendered
"practical, have been attended by a promising measure
"of success, and that the extension of notification
"should be encouraged in all districts in which effi"cient
Sanitary Administration renders it practicable
"to adopt the consequential measures..
