whooping cough. This disease likewise showed considerable
reduction in mortality during the year, 11
deaths only being recorded, compared with 25 during
the preceding year. Eight of the deaths were of
infants under one year of age, and three between the
ages of one and five years.

The foregoing Table classifies the mortality from the
several non-zymotic diseases registered in Streatham during
the past ten years. With the exception of diseases of the
Tubercular class, they are more or less of an uncontrollable
character from a public health aspect, and therefore a minute
