Parish of Strea/ham.
Infantile Mortality.
The deaths of infants registered in the district
under one year of age numbered, during the year, 184,
being equal to 118 per 1,000 of births registered. This
shews a great reduction upon the preceding year which
was equal to 140 per 1,000. The average for the preceding
ten years was 116 per 1,000, so that, although
satisfactory in a measure, the record for the year is
slightly below the standard of the preceding decennial
period. The total infantile mortality corrtcted foxoutlying
institutions was 189.
The following table compares the infantile deathrates
of the past 11 years.
