The original "Table III." of former reports has this
year, for the first time, been replaced with one inserted by
direction of the Local Government Board, and contains
several new columns, some, on the other hand, being
omitted. It will also be observed that there are some
modifications in the classification of deaths, more particularly
in regard to deaths from respiratory diseases,
