To ascertain the true deatli-rate for the parish, the
deaths of parishioners occurring in institutions outside
the parish must be added. The total number of these
deaths was 186 compared with 241 in 1897. 112 of
these occurred in the Union Infirmary. 45 in general
or special hospitals, and 29 in the various hospitals
of the Metropolitan Asylums Board.
Table II. shows in detail the number of deaths in
internal institutions, at various groups of ages, as well
as the causes of death.
