In this class 103 deaths were recorded, the number
being higher than during the previous year. This
excess is due to Measles and Whooping Cough, both
being diseases which are not governed by the notification
clauses of the Public Health (London) Act 1891.
The percentage of deaths from Zymotic diseases
upon the mortality from all causes was 14-5, compared
with 14r8 during the year 1897.
