The cases were scattered fairly evenly throughout
the various months, with the exception of the latter two
months of the year. During these months 18 cases were
notified out of the 47. I have remarked in my former
reports on a similar increase occurring during 1896 and
1897. The death-rate from Scarlet Fever per 1,000 of
population was 0.4.
