The zymotic death-rate for the year was 2 per 1,000,
1.02 per 1,000 under last year, and .56 per 1,000 less
than the corrected decennial average.
To arrive at the true zymotic death-rate, the number
of deaths from these occurring in outlying institutions
must be added. Six deaths from zymotic diseases
