Parish of Wandsworth.
In the metropolis, the death-rate for the year was
18.4, this being 1.5 under the decennial average.
The corrected death-rate for this parish was therefore
2.69 per 1,000 under the metropolitan death-rate.
The death-rate for England and Wales for the year
was 17.4. per 1,000.
Table III. shows the total mortality for the year,
arranged in accordance with the system adopted by the
Registrar General. It shows the total number in each
group, together with the age at death at eight
periods, and the sex and social position of the deceased.
Tables A and B are inserted by direction of the
Local Government Board.

In Table III. the causes of death are classified under six main groups, and the total number of deaths, as well as the percentage of each to the total deaths, are shown in the following table:—
