Parish of Clapha m.
The total number of deaths from Zymotic diseases
was 113, the smallest number since 1891. The Zymotic
death-rate, 2.36, was also very low, and was less than in
any year since 1891; the fall from 1896 being considerable.
This has chiefly been made up by the saving in
deaths from Measles and Whooping Cough, but it is seen
there has been a compensating increase in the deaths from
Diphtheria and Diarrhoea.

The following table gives the notifications of infectious diseases received under the Public Health (London) Act, and the number removed to hospital, with the number of deaths among those removed and not removed.
