Medical Officers of Health Annual Report.
The death-rate was a low one and less than the last
two years; it is also slightly less than the decennial
average. The rate for the Metropolis in 1897 was 18 2.
The Outlying Deaths above referred to are shown in
the following Table, and are arranged according to the
respective sub-districts to which they belong, and the
institutions in which they have occurred.
