about 400 feet of 6-inch pipes have been laid under new
roads at the time of and in conjunction with the construction
of new sewers; these are intended to drain 40
houses when built. Thus an aggregate of about 1/3mile
of drains has been laid under public roads and paths
during the year.
In the Parish of Wandsworth, the whole of the
foregoing work has been executed by the Board without
the intervention of a contractor. In addition to the above,
1,740 feet of 6-inch pipe drains have been laid under new
roads at the time of and in conjunction with the construction
of new sewers; these are intended to drain about
87 houses when built.
