whooping cough. Judging from the mortality from this disease
there has not been such freedom from the disease
during the past ten years. One death only has been
recorded.
Diarrhoea. With the exception of the year 1893, the
mortality from diarrhoea was the highest recorded during
the decennium.
Cholera. The cholera scare appears to have completely
subsided, not even a suspicious case has come
to my notice during the year.
The following table gives the number of notified
cases of infectious disease, removals to hospital and the
deaths which occurred therefrom both within the subdistrict
and hospitals.
