In all 70 cases of Small.pox were received, 33 from the district
of Mile End (28 of these from the infirmary where the first cases
arose), 24 from eight other districts of London, and 13 from beyond
the Metropolitan area.

The following table gives particulars as to the ages of the 70 Small.pox cases admitted, their condition in relation to vaccination, and the mortality per cent:

* This patient had mild discrete smallpox and died of cancer of uterus.
Of the cases included in the foregoing table three were said to
have been re-vaccinated before infection with smallpox ; one, aged
37, when about 10 years old ; one, also 37 years of age, when about
12 years old; and one, 53 years of age, when about 44 years of
age. All these recovered.
