Of the 69 deaths registered from Measles, 22 were in
infants under 1 year of age, 45 in children between 1 and 5,
making a total of 67 in children under 5 years of age—39
males and 28 females.
Of the 97 deaths registered from Whooping Cough, 45
were in infants under 1 year of age, 50 in children between
1 and 5, making a total of 95 in children under 5 years of
age—41 males and 54 females. Both diseases are distinctly
diseases of childhood.
