The London County Council Medical Inspectors under the
Midwives Act report all cases of inflammation of the eyes of newlyborn
babies to the Medical Officers of Health of the various Metropolitan
Districts, i.e., in addition to notifiying cases of diagnosed
ophthalmia neonatorum as required by the Order.
TUBERCULOSIS.
Details of the work carried out during 1914 in connection with
the Lambeth Municipal Tuberculosis Dispensaries Scheme are
to be found in the Appendix.
Sub-dividing the total tuberculosis (all forms) deaths during 1914 amongst the different Registration Sub-Districts, it is found that the numbers of deaths vary as follow:β
