A total number of 775 houses have been systematically
inspected during 1913, and in 48, i.e., 6.2 per cent., a
result has been obtained from the test applied to the drains.
A total of 1,987 other nuisances were found to exist in 661
houses (i.e., 85.3 per cent. of the total houses inspected)
but many were of a trifling nature and not in any sense
dangerous to the health of the inmates of the houses concerned.
In 114, i.e., 14.7 per cent., no nuisances were
found on inspection.
