It will be noted that, of the total 1481 persons reported as
suffering from Scarlet Fever during 1907 within the Borough of
Lambeth, 419 (i.e., 28.3 per cent.) were under five years of age,
and 1039 (i.e., 70.2 per cent.) under 10 years of age : whilst the
mortality was greatest amongst those between 3 and 4 years
of age. Of the 442 persons over 10 years of age, 7 (i.e., 1.6
per cent.) died.
