It is anticipated that this investigation will be completed in 1952 when
further samples will be taken and the position reviewed. It is a regretable
fact that nearly 9 per cent of the properties in the Moselle area have been
found to be either partly or wholly discharging their waste water and
sewage into the surface water drainage system, and there is no doubt that
a very valuable contribution has already been made towards solving the
problem of this pollution.
