3 cases of ophthalmia neonatorum were notified, both of which were nursed at home.

TUBERCULOSIS
PUBLIC HEALTH (PREVENTION OF TUBERCULOSIS) REGULATIONS
No occasion has arisen in the coursc of the year to put these powers
into action.
The total number of cases on the Tuberculosis Register at the end of
1945 was 1,165, viz., pulmonery 920, non-pulmonery 245, an increase of 89
on the total for last year.
NORTUARY
One hundred and four bodies were received at the mortuary.
DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACTS
Mr. P. G. Buxton, the Veterinary Inspector, has kindly supplied me with
details of his work in the Borough under the Diseases of Animals Acts and
Orders during 1945 as follows
