HOME HELPS.

The Hornsey Home Helps Society was started in 1930 by members of the Voluntary Committees of the Centres (Hon. Secretary, Mrs. Inward, 99, Pemberton Road, N.4). In spite of the difficulties of this work, steady progress has been made, as shown by the yearly figures: —

In January the Council decided to make a grant of £200
towards the expenses of the Society for the year ending 31st
March, 1940.
MILK (MOTHERS & CHILDREN) ORDER,
Two thousand three hundred and sixteen applications for
milk under this Order were dealt with during the year, of which
2.276 were granted and 40 refused: —
